Bell Helicopter believes the U.S. Coast Guard, in the midst of its 20-year, $17 billion dollar Deepwater program, will be only the first customer for the Fort Worth, TX-based firm's Eagle Eye vertical takeoff and landing unmanned aerial vehicle. In a strategic move, the U.S. helicopter and tiltrotor UAV maker, Lockheed Martin, AAI and Textron Systems have agreed in principle to form TEAM EAGLE EYE, promoting development, marketing and production of the Eagle Eye Vertical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (VUAV) system.
