Officials say the RTV FE system provides soldiers the ability to rapidly build their own topographic products when requirements can not be fulfilled by the National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA). Over the past five years, the RTV system has participated in numerous joint military exercises, collecting multiple data sets.
