Sweeping through the tech-investment community over the past few years has been the heightened interest in a group of dynamic, hypergrowth, and profitable companies called electronics manufacturing services (EMS) providers. Unlike their brethren, the "contract manufacturers," who simply place components on printed circuit boards (PCBs), the leading EMS providers of today now offer everything from full product design and manufacturing to direct order fulfillment and repair services.
