When Oracle's E-Business Suite 11i was introduced in May of last year, a company press release touted it as "the industry's fully integrated e-business applications suite." The product was promised as a complete Web-based package integrating customer relationship management, order-management, human-resources, manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain components. In short, 11i appeared to be a dream date for any company hoping to crash the Internet ball.
