Poor Carly Fiorina. Just over two years ago, she left a top post at Lucent Technologies to become the new CEO, president, and chairperson of Silicon Valley superstar Hewlett-Packard. While her arrival at HP was greeted with noisy hype for her promised talents (and did we mention she's a woman?), Fiorina is now finding that, as far as some media are concerned, it's put up or shut up time in Palo Alto, Calif.
