摘要

This paper proposes a new design approach for achieving high robustness in the vehicle dynamics controller based on quality engineering. The focus of this paper is on studying the applicability of the robust design principle in quality engineering to simulation based design of nonlinear vehicle control systems. Vehicle parameters are taken as noise factors and the patterns of steering and braking inputs are taken as the signal factors. Controller parameters are treated as control factor. A metric of robust design is treated as response factors. A stochastic optimization algorithm is used to tune the control parameters. This paper illustrates the effectiveness of our approach through the design of integrated vehicle control system which coordinates four wheel braking control and four-wheel steering control.
