In completing Scotland's coverage of 'Pevsners', Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire stands alongside fourteen exceptional volumes detailing the nation's outstanding built environment. The absence of any equivalent account for these counties has required the authors to tackle uncharted terrain while addressing an historic omission. At last the more discerning architectural traveller may now put aside Groome's Gazetteer, the rich and entertaining Statistical Accounts and the statutory Lists for this single informative tome.
