With the passage of the US federal government's Fiscal Year 2015 budget, signed by President Obama on December 16, AHS celebrated two major legislative accomplishments: additional funding for Future Vertical Lift and NASA rotorcraft research. "These are great victories for researchers working to advance vertical flight technology," said Mike Hirschberg, AHS Executive Director, in a press release."Because of these Congressional additions, our military will have more modern rotorcraft for future conflicts in the 21st Century, and civil operators will have safer, more efficient and quieter rotorcraft."
