Within the U.S. Army's Redstone Test Center, the Aviation Flight Test Directorate proves the safety, performance and reliability of rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft and aviation systems. The directorate has begun development testing of the OH-58F Cockpit And Sensor Upgrade (CASUP) on behalf of the Army's Kiowa Warrior product manager. It is flying technology development models of two Common Infrared Countermeasures (CIRCM) systems for the Project Manager, Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE). Redstone Test Center, in Huntsville, Alabama, falls under the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC), and most Aviation Flight Test Directorate (AFTD) work comes from product and project managers, or PMs, in the Army's Program Executive Office (PEO) for Aviation.
