The Pentagon's Defense Budget was $525B - including $109.1 B for procurement and $69.7B for research and development - down more than 12% from the last year's request. Funding for the V-22 Osprey would be reduced by 32% to S1.95B and from 35 aircraft in FY2012to 21 (four Air Force and 17 Marine Corps) in FY2013. Funding for the AH-64 Apache, however, would increase by 55% to $1.2B for 40 remanufactured and 10 new Block III helicopters.
