On 10 March 2009, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai chairs a meeting on tourism development cooperation among five cities and provinces, including Hanoi, Lao Cai, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh (Vietnam) and Yunnan (China). The two sides have a discussion on development solutions, training programmes to improve skills of those working in the tourism sector.
