摘要

Release 10 of the Matrox Imaging Library (MIL) provides support for Microsoft Windows 8 and the Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Linux distribution. Vector-based graphical image annotation capability has been improved. The release introduces MIL Pro- filer to visualize the execution of multithreaded MIL applications. More illustrative examples are also included, such as using the software for packaging inspection, heterogeneous multiprocessing, and laser-based 3-D scanning using third-party cameras. The release also incorporates the recently announced real-time H.264 video encoder, which is accessed via the MIL application programming interface (API), to produce either an elementary stream or a common MPEG-4 Part 14 (MP4) format file.
