With the Carbon Cub SS a pilot can easily lose count shortly after pushing the throttle to full and barely moving the stick forward, as it leaves the water behind in a flash. Cub Crafters claims 60 feet for taking off on land, so the five seconds off the water my friend reports in his Carbon Cub is certainly a reasonable expectation. It's not so much a technique to take off in a short distance on water in a SS, it's more of a normal procedure. Push in the throttle and be ready to go!
