The conditions were ideal for practici??g glassy water landings on the idyllic North Idaho Lake: zero wind, overcast cei??ing, and shoreline cabins reflecting onto the mirror surface. The downer side to waer work on this early spring day was the temperature factor—both ; the outside ??air and the water temps hovered around 40 degrees F. Only those raising money for a charity would want to take a "Polar Bear Plunge" in the lake that morning.
