A record 36 Kodiaks were delivered to customers in 2016, according to manufacturer Quest Aircraft Company in Sandpoint, Idaho. Quest delivered the 200th Kodiak in December. About 30 Kodiaks have been delivered on amphibious floats, both Aerocets and Wipline. The Kodiak is a 10-place, single-Pratt & Whitney PT6-powered turboprop designed for STOL use and operations on floats. "2016 was Quest's strongest year to-date," said new CEO Rob Wells. "The company saw increased production levels and deliveries, as the demand for a versatile aircraft like the Kodiak grows. In addition, the increasing demand for Kodiaks required a 25-percent expansion of the production facility, a project that was completed in September. This essential investment will allow us to efficiently support production growth in the coming years."
