Oshkosh AirVenture - the world's largest General Aviation convention. The extravaganza brings airplane lovers, performers, homebuilders, manufacturers, and vendors from every corner of the globe. The 2013 edition is scheduled for July 29 through August 4. This fact sheet will help you plan your visit and bring you up to speed on the procedures for flying in and around the Oshkosh area during AirVenture. Seaplanes moor in a protected lagoon off Lake Winnebago, about 5 miles SE of Oshkosh. Docks are available for unloading, and 100LL is available for refueling. A boat will tow your seaplane from the dock to a mooring buoy in the lagoon, and will be available to take you to and from your airplane. Larger flying boats anchor in the bay adjacent to the lagoon. Camping is available for seaplane pilots and their immediate families at the Seaplane Base. A freshwater well, toilet facilities, and showers are available on-site. Food is available at the Seaplane Base during the Convention.
