As one Grumman operation in Alaska comes to an end, another one arrives on the scene. Beginning in the summer of 2013, the Goose Hangar on Lake Hood will offer flight training in John Pletcher's Grumman Goose. While the airplane generally will be available for any kind of multiengine-sea flight training, John anticipates that the most popular offering will be the Alaska Bush package, a two-to-four-hour flight that provides a firsthand experience of being at the controls of a Grumman Goose in the Alaska wilderness. This is an opportunity to experience an era in Alaska aviation history that is coming to a close.
