In the past there have been many articles addressing the all-important issue of aircraft emergency egress and, of course, passenger briefings. I am writing to address egress from the Cessna 206H seaplane using the aft cargo doors. This is the same model 206 discussed in the "Lake View" article in the September/October 2012 issue of Water Flying magazine ("Life-Saving Passenger Briefings," page 15). Over the years since Cessna introduced the 206 in 1963, there have been several improvements implemented on the newer models. The current-production 206, commonly referred to as the H model, is the culmination of almost 50 years of improvements.
