On August 19, SPA Executive Director Jim McManus, Indiana Field Director/ Indiana Seaplane Association President Randy Strebig, and SPA advocacy volunteer Steve Whitney met with Indiana state officials in Indianapolis for what promised to be important talks on a very long seaplane access struggle. (For background see the SPA Blog, June 4, 2010 post in the "Advocacy" category.) Also joining our team was Maria Muia, a former DOT official (and now an experienced private consultant) who was directly involved in the original drafting of this Indiana seaplane regulation.
