In her 20 years in aviation Helga Kleisny has flown a lot of different airplanes, performed aerobatics, and jumped out airplanes close to 1900 times. But, in her own words, it took her until 2007 "to figure out the most exciting thing" she's done: fly seaplanes. "I got hooked at the first flight," she says. She quickly earned a German seaplane rating flying off the river Mo-sel in western Germany with instructor Norbert Klippel, then came to the United States to get the FAA rating at Jack Brown's Seaplane Base.
