"No" is not the right answer to a question like that, especially if the weather is good, the plane is a beauty on new Aerocet floats, and the fish are biting. My buddy, Jim Warren, earned his seaplane rating at my north Idaho-based water flying school the summer before. He already owns what may be the nicest Beech H18 still flying (featured in AOPA Pilot magazine, July 1999). so when he got the bug for floats Jim searched long and hard to find the best 185 for sale in the country. When he found it, the good guys at the nearby Aerocet factory in Sandpoint, Idaho, set Jim up with a new set of 3400 amphibs to make the package complete. The annual task of cleaning, inspecting, and re-sealing as necessary-each and every rivet on the old EDO 1320s on my J-3 provided me with extra appreciation for the all-composite, non-corrosive design of the Aerocets.
