At the Lake Clark Lodge in Port Alsworth, one can get a sense of the real Alaska and floatplane flying by looking at the various scrapbooks, the log furniture, the bear skin rug, the mounted Bull Moose head, and the many aviation photographs. The huge wolf mounted in the corner of the lodge and the old wooden aircraft prop hanging on the wall whet the appetite for the upcoming flight into the wilderness. The trophy grayling, salmon, and trout add to the ambiance, along with the photos of smiling faces who have visited this magical place. It is vacationland at its best.
