摘要

The new year of 2010 is upon us. The IWRA is approaching its fortieth resplendent year as a well-known international water resources organization since it was established in the United States in November 1971 by Prof. Ven Te Chow and others. A new IWRA Board (2010-12) has been elected and has taken up its duties for the coming three years. On behalf of myself and the other members of the new Board, I would like to thank sincerely all IWRA members for their trust and support, and to express particular gratitude to Past President Cecilia Tortajada and members of the previous board for their excellent service to our Association over the last three years. Now it is our turn to confront new and old challenges and seize emerging opportunities to develop our Association to make even greater contributions to global and regional water issues.
