EPA is touting a broad new agenda outlining financing information and other options to promote use of "green" infrastructure by cities and towns to curtail stormwater pollution, which could help the agency overcome past struggles to convince local planners on the value of green infrastructure. The agency April 29 released "A Strategic Agenda to Protect Waters and Build More Livable Communities Through Green Infrastructure," which outlines the activities that the agency will undertake to help communities implement green infrastructure approaches to stormwater management, including offering funding and technical assistance and creating internal guidance on enforcement and permitting.
