摘要

Winery 2013, co-organized by the experimental winery of Pech-Rouge and the Laboratory for Environmental Biotechnology (LBE),both part of the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA), is part of the conference series of the IWA Specialist Group on Winery Waste Management. Research dedicated to the treatment and management of solids and liquid wastes generated during wine making has progressed tremendously.Yet, there is still a need for research on sustainable viticulture using an integrated approach to link viticulture and wine production in order to further reduce the environmental footprint of the wine industry. The main challenges are related to the development of high-performance wastewater treatment, water reuse and irrigation, extensive treatment processes, micro-pollutant management and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
