Veolia Voda, Veolia's operating company in the central and eastern European region, serves over 7.1 million people across this fast-changing group of countries.Philippe Guitard notes: 'There are two kinds of country in this group.The first were in the first wave of integration [to the EU] in 2004 - Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia.The other group is Bulgaria and Romania, which only gained access in 2007.It has made a big difference - the level of service and quality of service are very different.'
