The Old Union Canals Society, which supports the Leicester Line of the Grand Union Canal, has announced plans to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the reopening of the Welford Arm. The society is hosting a rally on the weekend of 17th-19th May, the week before the Crick Boat Show, and is encouraging boaters to attend.
