British ingredients producer Tate & Lyle has posted steady salesnand earnings growth for its latest financial year, ending March 2011.nDuring the year the firm divested a large chunk of its sugar business,nwhich meant that sales on an absolute basis came in lower than inn2010. However, sales from continuing operations were up by 5%non a constant currency basis, attributed to growing sales volumesnacross the product portfolio. Adjusted operating profits for the yearncame in at GBP321mn, compared to GPB268mn in 2010, thanksnto an improved product mix, lower manufacturing costs and higherncorn prices.
