We describe two methods which rely on bidirectionalnscattering distribution functions (BSDFs) to model the daylightingnperformance of complex fenestration systems (CFS), enabling greaternflexibility and accuracy in evaluating arbitrary assemblies of glazing,nshading, and other optically-complex coplanar window systems. Twontools within Radiance enable a) efficient annual performancenevaluations of CFS, and b) accurate renderings of CFS despite the lossnof spatial resolution associated with low-resolution BSDF datasets forninhomogeneous systems. Validation, accuracy, and limitations of thenmethods are discussed.
