You work hard to secure your PCs from damage by users, but users often demand greater access rights than the group policy administrator allows. If your users require more privileges to run essential programs, marry their needs with the company's security requirements by mastering local users and groups. To maximize PC protection while giving users the permissions they need, we'll: 1. Examine why local user and group membership is important to securing workgroup and domain PCs. 2. Enumerate the built-in user accounts and groups so you can quickly identify existing rights. 3. Demonstrate how to create and modify local user accounts. 4. Use Computer Management Console to modify local group membership for local and domain users.
