You create REG files to customize the OS, but as you do, you dread the inevitable jump in call volume from users who can't properly implement the REG files you emailed to them. Thankfully, with Group Policy, you can skip the emails and implement the changes to hundreds of workstations without relying on your Active Directory users. To help you distribute registry changes to multiple machines in your Active Directory domain, we'll do the following: 1. Create an Administrative Template (ADM) file with a custom registry change. 2. Create a new Group Policy object and associate it with an Active Directory Organizational Unit (OU). 3. Use the Group Policy Object Editor to associate your ADM file with the Group Policy object. 4. Verify that a computer in the OU received the registry change properly!
