In the event that a hard disk should fail, you must prepare yourself to perform the necessary steps to get your server back to a functional state. When you use dynamic disks in conjunction with a mirrored volume or RAID-5 volume, as we did in the article "Boost storage capacity without breaking the bank" in this issue, you implement fault tolerance. But that's just the beginning. If your server experiences a disk failure, you must be prepared to repair those volumes.
