Satellite broadcaster Sky Italia will shortly be extending the coverage of its recently-launched 'Sky Wifi' fixed broadband service by adding Fastweb's FTTC network assets throughout the country, reports Mondo Mobile Web. 'Sky Wifi' was launched in June on the Open Fiber FTTH network in 26 Italian cities, initially for Sky subscribers only. It's now available in 149 cities throughout the country to all users, including those without a Sky subscription, and will soon be available in areas covered by Fastweb's FTTC (fiber and copper) network, said the report, citing an update to Sky's website.
