The Gougeon Brothers defied conventional wisdom about the role of adhesives in boat construction when they built,Adagw in 1970.livery piece of her structure is bonded with early WKST SYSTEM~R Brand Epoxy; she's one of the first modern boats built without mechanical fasteners. The Gougeons also encapsulated the vessel with epoxy inside and out to stabilize the wood's moisture content,enhancing its structural performance . Adagio has demonstrated the superiority of epoxy composites in difficult marine environments for nearly four decades.Despite exposure to innumerable fatigue load cycles in choppy Great Lakes conditions,she remains in top competitive form.
