There's a new department in this issue. It's called In Focus, and its mission is to showcase spectacular boats through spectacular images. The inaugural installment appears on page 84, and it features a triple-cockpit, award-winning Gar Wood runabout photographed by longtime WoodenBoat photographer Benjamin Mendlowitz. We chose this issue to launch In Focus because it marks a milestone for us. This is our two-hundredth edition, an occasion that inspires a glance back: I couldn't resist picking up issue No. 1 this morning, to review what Jon and the fledgling magazine's contributors were thinking back then.
