1. Halter Marine Services Inc., New Orleans, launched its 100th vessel recently. The shipyard reached the milestone in only eight years. Fittingly, the 100th vessel was a 100-footer, the Morris R., the third of six offshore supply vessels for Nolty J. Theriot Inc. and Morris Rebstock of Golden Meadow, La. The 100′×24′×10′ Morris R. is powered by two General Motors V16-71 diesels that turn 48″-dia. Michigan wheels through Twin Disc 3:1 reverse reduction gears.
