摘要

This book presents a comprehensive report on a large international project on temporary employment. Matched employee and employer data was collected by the research team in six EU countries and Israel. Attempts were made to standardize the data, for instance in number, sector and size of organizations in each country, although these parameters had to be relaxed in some countries. Employers were interviewed, and self-completion questionnaires were distributed to representative samples of employees. Eventually a sample of over 5000 employees working in over 200 organizations was achieved. Each book chapter takes a theme (e.g. well-being, psychological contracts, international com-parisons) and is compiled by combinations of the 16 authors who have contributed to the book.
