Master Lock~® padlocks have long been known as some of the toughest padlocks in the business, with their famous shot-lock logo. The #6840 model is a solid brass body padlock, and comes with either a hardened boron shackle or a brass shackle. Brass is very corrosion-resistant, and this padlock model has been a favorite for marinas, divers, electrical utilities, chemical industries, and factories with corrosive atmospheres. Unfortunately, the brass shackle bends easily and is not very cut-resistant, but the extra strength boron shackle is not very corrosionesistant.
