摘要

A new sub-surface keyhole dredging technology from Boskalis BV is now available for full-scale commercial applications, following successful trials in the Netherlands. The BcauDredge system can be used to deepen channels and lower ground levels by dredging under contaminated upper layers, producing clear sand as dredged material. Project aims can be realised without the high costs associated with the disposal of polluted material. In extracting usable soil from under unusable soil BeauDredge offers significant cost advantages where contaminated soils are present. The system applications will include deepening and flood protection projects. Large-scale schemes can be progressed by deploying BeauDredge multi-pipe systems. The cost advantages are large enough to encourage the implementation of projects which have been deferred due to cost issues and the difficulties of managing the controlled disposal of contaminated material.
