Oct. 3 - Russia's patent office has rejected Intel Corp.'s application for a patent related to cloud computing, after finding that it lacked novelty, in a decision released Oct. 3. The Chamber of Patent Disputes of the Russian Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent) found that Intel's invention was anticipated by U.S. Patent Application Publication No. 2009/0063690 A1, which was assigned to Motorola.
