With all the talk of the current interest in the search for cigarettes with reduced risk levels, this might seem like a strange time for one of the few companies producing speciality cigarette filters to disappear. This is what in effect has happened, however, with the purchase of Baumgartner by the company that operates Filtrona. But this will not be a problem if the new whole is bigger and better than the sum of its parts.
