BAT has re-invigorated its supply chain in the UK and Ireland using a system driven by consensus and continuous evaluation. The system is delivering improved performance and cost savings. The Supply Chain Division of British American Tobacco (BAT) in the UK and Ireland is undergoing a transfor-mation in order to become its customers' leading and preferred supply chain. And now, the model that was developed to change completely the way the division carries out its business is being considered for implementation globally, because of the benefits that are being realised in the UK and Ireland. 'Outstanding results' are being achieved very early in the process and the project is delivering 'excellent performance improvements', according to BAT.
