China Railway High-speed (CRH) has been developing rapidly in recent yearsand enjoying a great reputation throughout the world. China has achievedindependent innovation and leapfrog development of high-speed rail technologythrough technology introduction, digestion and absorption. Manymethods have been used in the research process of CRH Electric MultipleUnits (EMU). Modeling and simulation is one of the most effective and economicalmethods. However, the traditional method for simulation modelinghas been difficult to be applicable because of the complex structure, numerousentities, complicated interactions and the emergence of large-scale complexsystems. In this paper, we have applied the multi-Agent-based modelingand simulation technology to the research on CRH EMU. Meanwhile, wehave developed a new simulation platform for this research in order to launchmore virtual experiments. Through the analysis of simulation result data, it isproved that the method of multi-Agent-based modeling and simulation ispracticable. This has promoted the development of CRH EMU to some extent.
