The newly commissioned Alliance Pipeline system reports it is cost-effectively meeting its SCADA and measurement needs by employing a satellite-based communications network that minimizes polling transactions to optimize the available bandwidth.Control and measurement equipment and software for the new pipe line came from Bristol Babcock, Daniel Industries, Fisher Rosemount, GE Fanuc and Plantscape software coordinated by Hinz Automation, Calgary, Alberta.
