Knowledge gained from the AGA Best Practices Program and confirmed by corporate experience indicates that the most successful inspector and contractor inspection processes are being employed by gas utilities who are identifying risks and finding ways to manage those risks. The savings can be substantial. The best practices implemented by Consumers Energy have reduced inspection costs over a 10-yr period by some 70%.
