The Environmental Protection Agency is proposing to reregister dimethoate while it continues a broader review of whether the chemical and other organophosphate pesticides pose any cumulative health risks,EPA announced July 12(71 Fed.Reg.39,312).The agency has completed and is making available its Interim Reregistration Eligibility Decision for the chemical,which outlines various risk mitigation efforts EPA believes are needed to protect humans and the environment,according to the Federal Register notice.
