Israel: Elections in March may have hogged the headlines coming out of Israel of late but, while reporting on location, solar developers told pv magazine's Max Hall that the result of the poll was the very last thing on their minds. With policy uncertainty the bugbear that repeatedly dogs the solar industry worldwide, it would be natural to expect that the general election that recently took place in Israel was the biggest concern for the sector in that particular corner of the Middle East. But as the dust settles on what most observers had long been predicting would be another clumsily bolted-together coalition, the latest early election in a nation that has become used to governments lasting less than a full term was no more than an irritation for developers bemoaning a "three-year drought" for solar in Israel.
