The second meeting of Committee EL-043 was held recently [in conjunction with Subcommittee EL-001-08, a subcommittee of Committee EL-001, Wiring rules] to consider the preparation of a high voltage electrical installation Standard. To assist with this work the Committee considered the following documents: · IEC Publication 61936-1, Power installations exceeding 1 kV a.c. -Part 1: Common rules (published October 2002); · AS 2067, Switchgear assemblies and ancillary equipment for alternating voltages above 1 kV; · Clause 7.8, High voltage electrical installations [extract from AS/NZS 3000:2000, Wiring Rules].
