Streets Ice Cream, a division of Unilever Australasia, has achieved certification to AS/NZS 4801 Occupational Health and Management System for its operations in Minto, Sydney. It's the first certification for Streets Ice Cream and a major achievement for the company and its 280 workers on site. According to OH&S Coordinator, Ms Lisa Blaikie, achieving the certification is simply the starting point: "We now have the streamlined system in place, but there's no time to rest on our laurels. Safety is at the forefront of our employees' minds, and that's what we'll be reinforcing from now on through our system and procedures." McKesson Asia-Pacific has achieved ISO 9001:2000 for its Australian and New Zealand operations, and its certification now covers all sites and business units across the company.
