Dear Sir, Over the Last 30 years, Paul Manske has helped the field of congenital hand and upper extremity surgery progress greatly. He contributed numerous manuscripts that established more effective classifications (radial deficiency, ulnar deficiency, central deficiency, hypoplastic thumb) and surgical techniques (hypo-plastic thumb, radial deficiency, among others). His contributions improved our understanding and our ability to care for children with congenital anomalies of the upper extremity.
